I am not necessarily a world traveler, but I am working on it.

I have been to:

Canada, Russia, the Bahamas, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic,
the Ukraine, Grand Cayman, Mexico and England.

I live in the US.

The beautiful ladies of
Hollyweird.

I have eaten dinner on the Rhine; watched the shadows fall upon the mountains as I flew home from out West; chugged down the Most River in Moscow in a boat; Skinny dipped in the Gulf of Mexico; watched Aurora Borealis at midnight from the St. Petersburg sky; Watched life pass me by on Alcatraz; slept on a boat in Amsterdam; watched as the ocean was the only land mass below me on both a ship and a plane; been deep in the belly of the Earth...

I would like to visit: Tahiti, Argentina, Timbuktu, Brazil, South Africa, Switzerland (was here for 3 hours), Ireland, Australia, Italy (I was here!), the Czech Republic (I was here!) , China, Poland, Israel, Crete, Yemen and other exotic places.

In the states I have been to: Washington D.C., Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland, Montpelier, Burlington, Chicago, Rochester, Atlanta, St. Louis, New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angles, Cherokee, Nashville, Memphis, Orlando, Mobile, Biloxi, Lexington (MA and KY), Boston, Dallas, Austin, Panama City Beach, Destin, Ponce de Leon, Detroit, Buffalo, Columbus, Hackensack, Newark, New York City, Williamsburg, The Senventh Circle of Hell...

You get the point. I like traveling because I like change, even if it was just for a night. Although I live in one of the most beautiful states in the country, I feel that familiarity definitely breeds contempt (forgot who said that) and always like the challenge of being in a new and different place. Besides, when you travel, your outlook on life changes and you become more open to your surroundings.

Especially if you travel alone and live in you destination for a little while. I feel that when you travel alone, where ever you are seeps into you consciousness and makes you more aware of what life is all about, which is different things to different people, but for me, life is about experiencing what surrounds you, the earth, sun and moon, bugs, the smell of dew, sunshine on your skin, the taste of a freshly made pastry, the caress of a hand across a bare shoulder...
